    Finally filed!

    Well, after nearly a year of trying to avoid it and trying to get a decent attorney and trying to figure out how to do it ourselves... We've finally filed.

    Actually filing was painless and easy. The clerk said that our forms were "the nicest ones they've seen in a LONG time! Thank you!"

    That made us feel good.

    Now we get to nail-bite for a few days until we find out when our 341 is... and for a week or two to worry about receiving something in the mail telling us there was a mistake on our forms and a month for the 341 and God knows how long for a discharge and close!

    but at least we have begun!

      Well, not the 60 day club yet... I just filed. but at least the clock has started on the whole process.

        You sure moved quick once you made the decision!!

        I am hoping for you that all goes well and you're discharged and closed shortly after the start of the New Year!!

            Looks like Turkey day may have a different meaning this year--if you're 341 is around then, you'll be having something extra special to celebrate and be thankful for this year.

                  Pacer is a wonderful thing! I pulled up my notice of 341 hearing last night and so now I know that my 341 is on the 6th of November... only 25 days after my filing date!

                  Interestingly enough, it's also listed as a "no asset" case... even though I had checked the "I estimate there WILL be assets left..." check box due to a couple of small things we couldn't exempt... it wouldn't have been much... only a few hundred, but still... I wonder if that means anything or if it's just a typo from when they entered the order. I mean, has anyone actually even READ my petition and schedules yet? I thought that this didn't happen until the trustee got them.
