    30 day time for objections over

    Hi Everyone. My 30 day wait was finally over with last week on sept 30. It felt like I was holding my breath for the entire month worrying about it.

    Thanks to everyone for their support. I couldn't have made it this far without all the helpful threads and support from people in this forum.

    I do have a question. How soon should I expect to have my bankruptcy finally closed and discharged? A week? A month? When should I check my credit reports to make sure my debts were discharged correctly?
    Retained an Attorney to file 4/19/2006
    Signed Paperwork with Attorney and filed 6/8/2006
    341 Meeting scheduled for 8/1/2006 9:00AM -DONE
    Discharged 10/24/2006

    A couple months

    I think it is a couple of months. Did you file a 7 ? Don't forget to use the site to get your free reports from all three bureaus, I got this site from the CCS class (approved by the courts) and you dont even need a credit card to secure it!

      yes, My bankruptcy was a chapter 7.

      I was paranoid about what was reported on my credit reports that I got one from each of the three agencies. I know you can only get a free copy from each agency once a year so I will have to pay for a copy when I go check it again in a few months.

          Just an FYI for you CMIYC,........... Many of us were told by our attnys to pull copies of our Credit Reports from that website prior to filing BK. The attnys wanted us checking to be sure we didn't forget any Creditors.

          Many of us have already used their service Pre BK Filing and cannot access the free reports from there again for a while yet.

          Officially Declared No Asset - 03/2007
          Closed - 04/2007
