Hi there, we made our last payment in a chapter 13 in July after 5 long years and it took until this week in October to get the plan complete letter. The letter says it could take 3-6 months to get the discharge from the court depending on when all checks disbursed are cashed. It has already been 3 months. Does it usually take that long? And is there any way to see case status online other than NDC which now says “completed” instead of active? Also I assume to get a car loan we need the actual discharge? (Car keeps having issues that require expensive repairs so we want to unload it as soon as we can). Thank you for any info on this process.
