I have completed Chapter 13 and have the final paper showing no balance due with Trustee and got a refund I was told when I started these 5 years that my case would not be discharged and now 5 years later after I completed everything, I need it to be discharged or dismissed to buy a home. What are the options. I called my lawyer and they said I have to refile which going to case a big mess I think.

You did not receive a discharge? Is that because you had received a discharge in a Chapter 7 within 4 years, or a discharge in a Chapter 13 within 2 years of filing this more recent Chapter 13?
if so, then you do not get a discharge.
Your options? Ask your attorney to write a letter to the lender. You may also need to shop with a different lender that understands a no-discharge Chapter 13.
