Effective July 1, 2024, Florida's motor vehicle exemption will be $5,000 in a single vehicle. This is a change from the prior amount, listed in F.S. 222.25(1), of $1,000 in a single vehicle. The bill was passed and signed by the governor in late April 2024. It becomes effective this weekend: July 1, 2024.
