I am getting close to the end of my repayment plan, about 6 more months to go. I would like to know what happens once you make your final payment? Do you have to go see the trustee in person or do they just do a final review of your case and mail you the discharge notice?

You simply need to make sure you took the "second course" (many of us did both courses at the beginning) and submitted the certificate to the Trustee (typically via your attorney). Once the last payment is made, unless something changed during your bankruptcy (very rare), your discharge will be automatic.Chapter 13 (not 100%):- Burned: AMEX, Chase, Citi, Wells Fargo, and South County Bank cum Bank of Southern California

Our attorney emailed congratulations and the paperwork to stop the wage deduction. She told me to email my payroll dept with the info because it would be the quickest way to stop the deduction.
That was it, then we just waited for trustee/court to do what they do and eventually got a formal notice from the court.
You can also check PACER to see when the motions/orders are written.I am not an expert. I share my experiences in the Wonderful Wacky World of Chapter 13! Filed 3-30-18 Confirmed 7-11-18 Discharged 6-8-22
