Just curious, I heard that some banks will freeze your account when you file. I will be filling Chapter 7 in about a week or so. I have a personal checking account with Bank of America. This is the only account I have, so I need this account for my daily needs. I do not have any credit cards or any loans with them.

When my wife and I separated back in 2013 (we have since gotten back together) we were both with BofA (checking and savings each); she filed for a Chapter 7 in 2014 and I filed for a Chapter 13 in 2015; nothing happened to any of our accounts. After my discharge in 2020 I applied to BofA for a secured credit card, denied, and denied again on appeal. While I can say they didn't freeze any of our accounts, I can also say they don't seem terribly bankruptcy friendly.
In the end, we moved our accounts across the street (literally) to TDBank and haven't looked back.Chapter 13 (not 100%):- Burned: AMEX, Chase, Citi, Wells Fargo, and South County Bank cum Bank of Southern California

We too have had a joint checking account with B0fA since they bought out Fleet Bank while we lived in NH.
When we filed BK13, we both had two CCs which ended up as part of the bankruptcy; other than having our credit line of overdraft protection cancelled, B0fA never retaliated against us in any other way.
We have not applied for a CC with them since our 2022 discharge and closing (mostly because we anticipated denial just as shipo already described) but we have remained with them mainly for convenience. We have two other CU bank accounts and 3 actual CCs, so we aren't particularly anxious to get another one, for now.
While I can't say Bank of America is fantastic, at least they aren't Wells Fargo either.
