moving to WA post discharge; comparing salaries and rent/mortgage; need Metal

Yeah so this is in the general forum per the topic title.
We are taking a trip in a couple days, learning about areas, and rental costs.
Listening to some classic 'Priest' just to concentrate.
    This is overwhelming.
We are looking at places under $3500; seems it's slim pickins.
We are averse to going higher but it sounds like we can go higher.
Hence, the analysis. And the Metal. Yes I need it to concentrate at this time.
Barbisi and I both are completely wiped out from the Task Tornado. We asked for it though:
we wanted to leave fast and furious. Well, the process steps are comin fast, ho-lee cow batman.
Today we went under contract for the house. Immediately after (same day), we started the home inventory (virtual) for the relo.
And then, the sewer inspector came (yes, same <grawlix> day); anything else? want fries with that? Then the roof inspector. Damn dudes... take a number and get in line ok? geez!
So. back to analysis. And classic metal.
I need to do the math, since I am not accustomed to this 33% salary increase.
Funny thing will be: Barbisi could tell me in half a heartbeat: we can afford #####.## per month. It will take me an hour to reach the same
conclusion just to satisfy my need to overturn every blessed stone.
This kinda decision is always a battle since our thought processes are so different but it always works out.
Yes it's a simple calculation but after 3 weeks of this nonstop random tasking ... yknow. need to get my head straight. Little challenging to do the math. Hence the metal!

It's got to be so overwhelming after being in the quicksand for 5 yrs just trying to keep your head from going under and now it's wham bam thank you mam!

It's all falling into place. I CANNOT wait to see my income nearly double when this BK payment is FINISHED! The payment comes from my paycheck and it is almost half since we had the step increase. I will feel like I won the lottery. This will last about a year since my husband is set on retiring literally 1 yr after our last BK payment when he hits full retirement age.

I have given it more thought we will probably stay in our home which needs some upgrades so that's what will happen with our RAISE!

Do keep us updated as you find a new home and a new city to call your own.

    You are doing great!
I am not an expert. I share my experiences in the Wonderful Wacky World of Chapter 13! Filed 3-30-18 Confirmed 7-11-18 Discharged 6-8-22

Thank you @Carmella for such kind sentiments! Please send good vibes and prayers our way -we are flying out for a five day, company paid-for house hunting trip tomorrow!
May we find a rental to get us started on our new life and if not, we will have to go into 30 day temporary housing and look once we're local.
I can't wait to read about your discharge and new freedoms :the 12 month countdown has begun -hiphiphurrah!
