Car Sounds n Vibes ... not quite right

Ok so admittedly, this is right up shipo 's lane, and another person on here; forgot your ID... sorry.
So. We replaced the front struts. Have a smoother ride but: I still get a "KLUNG", and feel it, starting from a stop, either going forward, reverse, and turning the wheel, or not. When I start from a stop, same thing. Sounds like, and feels like, something is either warped, or there is a loose joint, all front end. Sounds/feels like force is applied, there is resistance, then the part(s) "give in" to the force. Started after the transmission was replaced earlier this year (yes, after we got the stimulus check and no, I'm not... upset... about payin $3600 or so for a &^$%@#@(*%%$@ transmission, no, not at all... in fact, I'm just so zippy a** f*n happy I just wanna dance! No not really.).
Anyway, right after the transmission was replaced, this started happening. I took it back to the shop (Nissan Dealer); they supposedly looked at it, and found nothing. That was back in April - 8 months ago.
I will take it to the shop this weekend; seems like, they will have to just drive it to understand. No computer error codes are gonna tell em anything.
Also - the hood does not close all the way, on one side, after the left front controller arm (or axle?) collapsed. So, maybe, I have a bent body, or frame, that is contributing.
    Any ideas?

Sounds like one or both axles; fairly common problem with Front Wheel Drive cars. New axles are relatively inexpensive, I think I paid about $79 per side for my Acura, and maybe about the same to have them installed.

So, the repair shop reported two things: 1) yes, the left front axle has a minor leak, and replacement is suggested - I need to get a price quote from them, and 2) the struts they put in a week ago, are hemorrhaging (leaking significantly), so they replaced those, warrantied them out so no additional cost. I will take the car back in about 2 weeks probably so they can check to make sure, the new 2.0 struts aren't leaking.

Perfect. FWIW, I typically recommend replacing axles in pairs.
