Question About Court-Filed Attorney Compensation Requests (BK Attorney Fees)

My attorney filed an application for compensation for a motion. Lines 2 and 6 show the pre-petition fees I paid (3,000*) . The actual request at the end of the application form is $4,500*. Is the total attorney fee going to be $4,500 meaning that I will now be paying the additional costs of the mid-plan motion of $1,500* through the plan or $7,500, the pre-petition fees plus $4,500 for the motion.

    * These aren't the actual costs I paid, but are a simulated representation.

It depends on your plan. If your plan was already going to pay at least $1500 to unsecured creditors, the fee will decrease what goes to the creditors. If you are already in a 0% plan, then you would have to come up with the $1500.

I'm around 80% payback. Thanks LITR.

I received the compensation order from the BK Court and it is $1500 I will pay through the plan, not $7,500, which is what I expected, but wanted to be sure.
