Taking Jewelry Purchased Through Wells Fargo Credit In For Repair

A stone fell out of a ring I purchased through Wells Fargo Jewelry Credit program. I filed a Chapter 13 and this is being considered a secured creditor so I will be paying them back 100% through the plan. Will the local jewelry store know that I filed bankruptcy and refuse to make the repair?

No. Assuming you are going to pay for the repair at the time of service, the local jewelry store has nothing to do with your bk and, therefore, no interest in it. Even if you purchased the item there, since it was paid for by WF, the jewelry store should have no concerns. My only potential issue is spending money on a non-necessity at this time. How much is this going to cost?

    Des.

I assumed he was getting it repaired for free, hence his question as to whether or not they would honor the free service.
