1st step in FC process?

Note on the door asking to call HSBC and have account # handy
Debt discharged recently in Ch13, back taxes paid by HSBC. We knew this was coming but expected a certified notice or something more official. Asked many times for a mod but always denied or stonewalled.

We also got hand written note on the door telling us to call our bank, 800# no name , We ignored it, We waited for a court action to take place, We are afraid of the scams out there wanting to sign something or take the house fraudly. Be careful. If it is your bank, you could call them.

Thanks; it did have HSBC on it and I'll verfiy the tele #...but will call attny tomorrow. Husband also said it wasn't even in the door or on doorknob, just laying on the porch.

We received a few of those little brown envelopes too. They were from BOA checking the property to see if the house was occupied.

We ignored the notes, We do know BOA paid someone to ck on our house , when we finally got the LP notice, it had charges for about 18 visits. at 15.00 per visit on the paperwork. We basically did nothing as we wanted more time in our house. Depending on your state, they most likely have to go thru court. We expect ours to be over by summer ends.
