    NJ Fannie Mae Forclosure Freeze?

    To all,

Havent paid mortgage since July 2012, been in BK13 for 3 years, converted to 7 (341 Today actually....). Mortgage Servicer has sent HAMP papers since sept. and some follow-up phone calls
but nothing since then. I check Pacer at least once a week and no action has been filed for relief of stay, nor have I gotten anything in the mail. We are planning to just let the house go as it is underwater about 100K, is a fixer upper and the public school system in my area is subpar. Mortgage is with Fannie Mae so Im just wondering if this is common to not even hear anything for a few months or are they just wamiting until BK7 conversion is finished before starting the forclosure process?. No NOD have been sent to myself or my attorney either. Thanks all.

we have a and FHA and it's been over 4.5 years. the property is in northern nj. not a word. and no claim from the bank on the PMI either. no foreclosure has even started yet. it doesn't surprise me that fannie mae is following FHA footsteps..or actually it's really the banks not moving. what happens is the bank has to foreclose first before going to the FHA or fannie mae to recoup their monies and file a claim. which for some reason many banks are not doing. i know our old home is over
250k underwater now and nothing is being done at all.

      Thanks tobee3,

How do I know which bank holds my mortgage? I just know that on the Fannie Mae website they have my mortgage and not a bank. Anywho, I hope this is a true fresh start and I can really save some cash for a few years.
