Just curious if anyone has heard anything at all about deed for lease programs. We were discharged from a Ch. 7 in Aug. of 2011. I am due to have a baby next month so moving could complicate things a bit. I was in a car accident in Nov. of 2011 and am expecting a settlement (other party has already admitted fault) no later than the spring for it. I had never heard of deed for lease until today. We were turned down for HAMP, but are now awaiting to see if they can do an in-house modification. If that doesn't go through we are curious about a deed for lease, or anything else that might stall us about until we get the settlement, which will be way more than we need to make up our arrears on the mortgage.
