I stopped making my mortgage payments in Oct 2011 and filed BK7 and was discharged a few months ago.
Thought I'd better get copies of all three credit reports and make sure the information was correct. I hadn't checked my reports in years (not very smart I know)...
Well after reviewing my reports I noticed something very strange..... My current lender after purchasing my loan in 2007 has never reported my mortgage loan. In 2008, I took out a second with the same lender which reported the second. However, later in 2008 I refi'd the first and second with the same lender. After that nothing on the loan in regards to my credit reports (except showing the 2nd was closed and refinanced.
This is a major lender. I'm still in the house waiting for them to foreclose. I had never been late on payments until Oct2011. The late payments, the house discharged in BK7, etc is not showing anywhere on my credit reports.
Anyone have any ideas why a major lender would not report my loan to the credit reporting agencies? Did they just miss it? I'm thinking maybe I should go down the County recorder and see what my deed shows?
