Surrendering home, property tax & insurance paid through escrow account

We modified our Ch. 13 plan to surrender our home, and now I'm wondering how to handle the homeowner's insurance and property taxes. Both were included in the mortgage, which isn't being paid anymore. I know that the insurance will need to be kept in force until foreclosure, so will the lender continue to pay it? I have the same question about the property taxes. We plan to stay in the place for as long as possible to save our money. Thanks!

Lender will pay. Insurance is risky. For peace of mind, it's best to keep lability in case someone gets hurt on your property.

in our state we couldn't continue insurance once we vacated. the bank immediately picked up an umbrella policy...we posted trespass signs and enter at your own risk took tons of pictures and if anything happened then it's clear someone was trespassing and shouldn't have been on the property. also, we were surprised to get a refund from our homeowners insurance company stating it's the banks problem now let them pay! true story.
