I am a wreck, redemption period ends today.

I am six months pregnant, spent the last 4 months on and off bed rest. Our redemption period ends today (in Michigan) and I am freaking out that the lenders will be at the home soon to change the locks. I recieved a phone call first thing this morning asking when we are going to be out. I explained that we are still in the home and that we are trying and my health situation. The conversation was very short, they just said okay and left it at that. We are trying very hard to get our stuff out but no one is willing to help and I am having problems doing it in this 95+ degree weather.

So the question is what do you think our chances our of having through the weekend to move out? I was told that they have to evict us before they can change the locks but I don't trust them. I hate to make excuses but this has been very hard on me and we are really trying.

Sorry to here about all of your troubles. I do not know whether this will help answer your question or not, but here is a link to a website that deals with the question you have asked: http://www.foreclosureuniversity.com...s/michigan.php

My understanding of what is written here is that you have to be given eviction notice in Michigan after the redemption period if you have not yet abandoned the property. It appears from this link that you should have around 30 days, so making the weekend might be realistic. Try some of your local churches for help in moving out. Most have young adults willing to lend a hand for someone in your condition. Now is not a time to allow pride to stand in the way of you getting help, and you definitely need help. Good luck, and I hope this helped.
