Wow. What a crazy story. But I can understand you not wanting to see it like that with all the work you use to put into it. It must have been a beautiful property at one time. But at long as it doesn't come back to haunt you later, maybe it is better it goes back to nature rather than somebody letting it go to hell as they live there and don't take cafe of it.

well, if they come back to me, i'm not exactly sure where they can bite? being the mortgage was discharged and the house was in great condition when the bank changed the locks and we are not financially responsible, it would be a hard case for them. exactly what would they expect since again there has been no attempt to mitigate their damages, the house should have gone into short sale or at least an attempt for the bank to sell it before they let it go literally under water.

can they say i legally did or did not what exactly. protect the house when it was surrendered after they changed the locks and put pad locks on all the out buildings? i guess we will see some day down the road. although, according to the people that went there the house is done, there is now no repairing it due to the water, mold and flooding damages. who knows maybe the bank has a claim into their insurance company for water and flood damage?
