I am curious about what is going on with Seterus my home loan servicer. I included my home 1st & 2nd mortgages in my Chapter 7 and did not reaffirm. No payments have been made in 8 months. No NOD has been filed either.
Late last week they ran my credit under some other name Equifax Mortgage Services and today a letter shows up that since I requested hardship assistance they were reviewing if I was eligible for a modification. They also overnighted some trial modification paperwork saying if I "complete" their paperwork and send it back with my 3 trial payments I will receive a modification.
All of this was totally unsolicited. I never contacted them. They have been calling every day and hanging up. I am not sending any INFO to them. If they were serious about a modification wouldn't they just send an actual legal modification?
