    This stuff drives you crazy....

Not knowing the timeframe of this foreclosure is killing me. Ch 7 discharged 11-11. Haven't payed mortgage in 10 months. We were debating to catch up our payments and pay and stay but decided not to. We have worked out a 6 year land contract on a builders spec home but haven't signed anything or given him our downpayment yet. It is slightly overpriced but it's perfect for my handicapped wife and my children and there are little rental options. Wells Fargo seems to be getting more aggressive now. They have hired Trott & Trott to handle the foreclosure and we've been getting some mail from them saying they are going to "accelerate the total indebtness" but no dates or anything yet. The builder is willing to put off the closing on the land contract until Sept for a fee. My friends think I'm crazy for paying him money to hold my house but I'm still saving a bundle each month I stay here. I don't need to stay here until the last minute but is sure would suck if I moved out and this house stayed vacant for a long time. My house about to foreclose is in a nice neighborhood with very few other houses for sale so does it sound like WF will actually have the Sheriffs sale relatively soon? The last mail from Trott and Trott was certified mail.

It's hard to say. I was hoping to get a year of rent free living before I had to move, but my notice came 6 months after my first missed payment. I got 91+ days notice. I found out because the realtors started calling me about the 'auction' and wanting to short sell my house. I certified letter came to the door also, but I didn't go to the post office to pick it up.

Michigan is probably different. Have you read up on the state laws that determine how much notice the homeowner is given before the auction?

My wife called WF and I think they told her the sale would be scheduled 60-90 days out. Then in Mich I have a 6 month redemption period. So I have minimumly until Dec. But I don't exactly want to move in winter (although we didn't even have a winter this year, 79 degrees today!). Errrrrrr... I'm so frustrated. I wish they'd just sell it tomorrow.

I guess I'm thinking since this Trott and Trott is sending me certified letters, WF isn't going to delay this too much. For those of you in your house 2-3 years, did you ever start getting these kind of letters or did you hear nothing?
