(not saying you'd do that, just saying... you'd think they'd be a bit more reasonable and think it thru)

Sorry it didn't work out the way you hoped.
    Thanks for the kind words.

Oddly enough, I spoke to a friend of mine whose house was sold about 3 months ago. A realtor just now approached them with an offer of $2000 for a 25 year old home in disrepair that is slightly bigger vs ours which is in great shape that is only 9 years old in a nicer neighborhood. Go figure.

Hi everyone. I thought I'd finish out this post. I did make one more offer of $3000 to be out in roughy two weeks. The realtor had made it clear that she only wanted a date and an amount in my emails. I believe she didn't want to have to read anything other than when she might possibly get the property to list. The date was accepted once more but again with the same $750. The realtor asked for my response to Fannie's counter offer but I did not make contact after that. I figured, why give them my intentions and make it easy on them, right? I still believe that it is a game for realtors to use to try to maximize THEIR profit...not help Fannie/Freddie or the homeowner. So THAT pretty much sums it up with my Cash 4 Keys experience. I believe one's results are greatly affected by the realtor that is assigned to your file. I personally think we would have had better results from the first realtor we were assigned.

Aside from that, this is what was going on behind the scenes while I talked to the realtor. The sale was on February 28th. Somewhere around the 1st of March we got a letter from the Substitute Trustee stating that we had 10 days to move out or we would be removed by the Sheriff. Their is a 10 day redemption period in my state so that took us out to Friday, March 9th. Got the "Knowing Your Options" flyer Monday, March 12th. Called the realtor on the 14th. Some time after the redemption period was over, the Substitute Trustee filed a complaint with the Clerk of Court to obtain the property. A court date was set. I don't know when it was as I didn't receive a notice in the mailbox and didn't pick up the certified mail at the post office BUT I believe it was approximately 28 days after the redemption period expired, which put it around April 5th. The ruling would have been for the plaintiff, as I was a no-show. The Substitute Trustee then filed a Writ of Possession of Real Property the next day, a Friday. The sheriff's office received it Monday the 9th and processed it the next day. In NC they have up to 7 days to evict and in my county they do that ON the 7th day so the eviction was on April 17th.

We weren't there to be dragged out kicking and screaming We had moved out about two weeks prior but had been going back and forth getting our property up until the 16th. We took our SS appliances and a few small parting gifts. The grass has now not been mowed in over a month and the HOA is still sending me notices. I think I'm going to respond to them and tell them my mower is fixed and I will get it soon. That way, they won't pay someone to do it and it will grow some more which will drive the 3 hatefull SOB next door neighbors' insane!!! YAH HA HAAA

We were blessed to find a nice home to rent and my wife and I agree that we are sooo much happier now being out of debt and out of our former neighborhood. I was also fortunate enough to make a leap into another job after 3 years of short hours and reduced wages. I took a slight pay cut from my previous top pay but now I'm working full time and have been able to work overtime for the past 3 months.

The best part is that we now have choices where we had none before!
