Foreclosure - Finally!

I stopped paying for my house June 2010. Bk was closed July 2011. Have been waiting for the foreclosure/Sheriff's sale and it is finally going to happen Nov. 10th. Then I have until May 10, 2012 for the redemption period.

I am just grateful to this forum for helping me through all this and finally see an end of that tunnel. I've saved enough to see me through this and if I do not find a job, can then move to my brother's, much as I hate to do that.

At least I know I have enough to see me through and have signed up with temp agencies while I am still putting out my resume and hoping for something.

Thanks again to all of you. It has been wonderful to be able to come here and see others going through this and getting insight and answers along the way.

Who was your mortgage with? Mine is with GMAC and I haven't made a payment since July 2008 and it's still not foreclosed!

Best of luck to you -- our Sheriff's sale has been rescheduled/postponed 10 times since our original sale date of March 24, 2010 (and not through any effort on our part - we can't WAIT for it to be over!!) Our home is in Illinois, though, so perhaps things will move quicker for you through Minnesota's system. I just recently sent a letter to the Illinois Attorney General's office practically begging them to allow the sale to go through. I don't even get excited anymore when they set a new sale date. When the date comes and goes and the house ACTUALLY goes to sale, then I'll be excited.

Trying - it's BofA, and Lookingfrwd - Yikes! Hope this goes through. As it is we have a 6 month redemption period so whenever it happens, I'm not leaving until it is out of my name!
