    What will happen next?

    Hi all,

I... can only seem to see through this thing one step at a time...

We received a Complaint of Foreclosure in July. We had 28 days to respond. That time was up on August 11. We haven't heard anything from the court or Wells Fargo.

Can anyone tell me what the next step is? I'm still trying to figure out when we should actually be looking for a new place to live. We started once but were told by our BK atty that it might still be a "long time" before we need to move. We live in Ohio if that makes any difference.

    What... will... happen.. next?

    Thanks for your insight.

I dont know about foreclosure laws in ohio. I would suggest you check with the civil division at your courthouse to get an update as to the status. In FLA most of this can be viewed online. google search [your county] court records and see if you can access them online. if not, take a trip down to the courthouse to see the docket and case file.

I've got the same question. I too am with WF. Filed in June. Lawyer says expect discharge any day now. They got a relief from stay in August. Haven't done anything yet. So I'm not sure what the purpose of the relief from stay was if they were going to wait until discharge. Especially with MD being a judicial state it'll take a while. They claimed they filed for foreclosure in the stay relief papers. Checked court records didn't see any foreclosures filed for, I never got served anything (should I?). The process server in our area and I are on a first name basis.

What county are you in? Is your BK discharged yet? You likely have a year or more before you actually need to move.
