OK, so as I mentioned before, the bank started the foreclosure process by filing a complaint. I didn't answer the complaint. I wanna be done with it. Anyway, I'm in New York, a judiciary state, where foreclosure is taking 2 years or more, and I'm not complaining. More money in my pocket I say. Anyway, my bank sold my bad loan to one of its subsidiaries.
From what I read on the Internet, this subsidiary has to now file with the court to have its name added to the foreclosure proceedings. Does this mean more time for me? Again, not complaining.
The subsidary has been heavily communicating with me by mail - offering me deed in lieu and short sale. Since the house is IIB, I'm not worried about a foreclosure showing on my credit report so those offers don't entice me.
My timeline. Stopped paying mortgage April 2010. Filed bk August 20, 2010. Got discharged November 23, 2010. Complaint filed May 2010. Did not answer. Haven't heard anything further except that the loan was sold and now they're offering me options, which I'm not even considering.
Thanks for any input.
