    Notices of Default

Question for those of you who have received Notices of Default.....how many copies of the notice did you actually receive? I, personally, as of 6/20/11 have received 12!!!! Here's my timeline:

    10/10 Last payment to Ocwen
    12/10 Filed Chapter 7 BK
    4/4/11 Chapter 7 Discharged/closed
4/9/11 Moved from mortgaged property to rental property
6/7/11 NOD filed with Sacramento County

From 6/7/11 to 6/20/11, I have received 12 copies of the Notice of Default; sent to both my old address and my new address; sent both regular USPS and Certified mail. All 12 copies are the same and all include a paragraph that "Western Progressive is attempting to collect on a debt on behalf of the mortgage holder Ocwen/US Bank and Trust" (or something like that).

Really? 12 Copies? So far I've responded to 9 notices and included pages of my BK7 documentation in each response.

    What's up with this?

Yes, I'm also in California and I've received about 10 or so Notices of Default since May 23rd when the NOD was filed with the county! My lender was Wells Fargo, but apparently they sold it to Ndex West. I keep having to run to the post office on the weekends to pick up a certified letter of the Notice of Default. I guess they want to make sure you receive it or just want to bug you like any creditor?! But it sounds like at least you had a bit of time between stopping payments and the NOD. I stopped payments in Feb 2011 and saw the filed NOD on May 23, 2011.
