    What Can We Expect Next

Ok, so our BK7 was discharged a couple of weeks ago. Our bk attorney told me on Monday that we could expect paperwork soon due to us being about 6-7mo behind on payments to our 1st and 2nd. Well, he's a psychic cuz we received some paperwork today. It was a civil summons basically giving us 20 days to respond otherwise judgment by default would be taken against us (pretty standard). So because we have no intention of staying in our home, we don't plan on responding.

What can we expect to happen, or what kind of paperwork will we receive after this step? Will it be an eviction notice or what? We're just trying to figure out how long we have to get things packed and sold off before we move out.

From a FC website: "It is difficult to say how long a Kentucky foreclosure takes to finalize as the timeline varies. If the foreclosure is uncontested by the borrower the general rule is about 150 days." ...It goes to say Kentucky is a judicial state for FC's so it will automatically take longer than non-judicial. Most judicial states take 6 months or more. But do some checking on your own to be sure.

I googled kentucky foreclosure time line and there is a chart on Kentuckysolutions.com which will show you a timeline. It's the foreclosure prevention office for Kentucky Homelowners. They also have a phone number for you to call with questions.

The one I have for my state is being pretty accurate.
