I may be filing for bk, not really sure what I'm doing. I have moved out of my house so it is vacant right now, and haven't paid my mortgage through USBank in 6 months. I guess I was hoping that a foreclosure would be done by now. They keep sending mail to the old address asking for contact info, saying my mortgage is under review for foreclosure, and sending me modification applications. I haven't had any contact on my end with them. I really want to be done with the house, should I call the bank and talk to them? Would it help to make things go faster?

It probably won't make things go any faster. General consensus on these boards is to stay in your house for as long as you can. This way you save that money every month that you would be paying on rent. Some people have reported being able to stay in their houses up to 2 years.
Because of the backlog of foreclosures, it can take a very long time to get to that point. It also depends on the state you live in, whether the foreclosures are judicial or non-judicial. We lived in TN and once we received our Notice of Default, it was about 6 months to foreclosure sale.Filed pro se, made it through the 341, discharged, Closed!!!
