Ok, so we have some questions surrounding the whole homeowner's insurance thing. To give you all a background on our situation. We stopped making payments on our 1st and 2nd last fall (Sept), and filed BK7 in Nov. We were discharged about 10days ago. We are planning on moving out of our house and in with my mom for awhile to save some cash. Our first mort. is with Wells Fargo and the 2nd with BoA.
When we move out, I'm half betting that our homeowners insurance will cancel us as the house will be vacant. At that point, we are very concerned about our liability. If someone strolls onto the property and breaks a leg, are we responsible for that? Or, what happens if a tornado comes along and blows it away? What type of lawyer should we speak to, to asks these questions?
