    Foreclosure timeline New Mexico? Citi

    Hi All

I know this seems like a broken record but I have been reading through these forums and online and just trying to get a timeline as I would like to stay in my house as long as possible...

My chapter 7 closed end of October. I haven't made a mortgage payment for four months. Haven't heard a peep from Citi of course due to BK. Last week I received a letter on my door step ( instead of my mailbox ) that was telling me my loan is in default. I have until 12/20/10 to pay my full balance and late fees or failure to cure the default may result in the acceleration of all sums due under the Security Instrument. Also the letter said my property may be sold in accordance, blah blah blah..

So I am thinking this is my letter of default, and after 12/20/10 they can schedule a sheriffs sale? I am wondering if the sheriff dropped off the letter and it was strange it was on my doorstep versus mailbox.. Looked like a normal letter.

Anyone know of any good resources I could track the progress of my foreclosure. I don't think I should contact Citi otherwise it might keep me on the radar? I would love to live in my beloved upside down house for as long as possible to try to make back the 30k I put down 3 years ago..

Any suggestions or knowledge on my timeline? I live in Valencia County and know its judicial, so lucky it will take longer and I have a redemption period as well I believe which can prolong the process..

    Thanks- Kristen

    Hi All

I am bumping this up in case anyone from NM comes along- A great site that someone shared with me is; http://www2.nmcourts.gov/caselookup/app I can track the status of my foreclosure now and was just entered and judge assigned as a complaint for foreclosure as of 1/19. I actually got a great new job starting in two weeks that will enable me to possibly keep my home. I am going to start applying for modifications and such, if I can get the value reduced and my payments reasonable I might stay... It would have to be pretty nice though as I have read all the stories on why not to reaffirm..

Anyway just updating as I know others out there in NM might be in the same situation!
