GREAT Loan Mod/Short Sale Resource for Homeowners

HomeAffordableGuide.com is an easy, interactive process that helps you navigate all of the government and in-house mortgage help programs. It prepares all of the necessary information for you based on your key variables. The customized five steps guides you through an extensive checklist of documents including hardship letters, financial affidavits, and verification that each document is accounted for and is legible. Best of all, if banks lose your information, you can simply recall and resubmit the completed documents. To see if you qualify for a loan modification under HAMP or a Short Sale under HAFA visit homeaffordableguide.com/do-you-qualify/ and walk through the process with the Home Affordable Guide.

OP somehow failed to mention that this service is $49 and requires registration.

Yeah, it's just an advertisement within a post but there really are good FAQ pages on HAMPs and short sales that people can visit (for free). The decision to pay the $49 to generate application paperwork is optional.

Oh, and the website also notes that they've found, through extensive research, the three key reasons for why mods are falling through the cracks. The three reasons aren't bad but compared to the experiences that people have shared here and across the web well, that extensive research might just be a teensey bit shallow. It seems tipped in favor of lenders, but maybe that's just how I'm reading it - haven't yet reached my caffeine quota for the morning.
OK - from now on it's not a "Bankruptcy." It's a "Weight Loss Program." I'm in. Sign me up.

I got 2 loan mods through, but this required an insane amount of paperwork, so being organized is critical. I had to fill out those 26 page loan mod docs very carefully, send a couple letters to the proper loan mod department explaining my situation, tons of calls, and a lot of luck. Never paid any organization any money, but I did go through the non-profit organization HAMP I believe and all that to get some pre-help.
