Update: The drama takes another turn!
It's Friday 11/12. My Sheriff Sale is in 6 days, 11/18.
At noon today I got a nondescript email with - gasp - loan mod docs!
It's a small victory, because I KNOW these companies don't send them -- then lie and say they did -- just to foreclose unlawfully (in Michigan).
I only got the docs because I caught them admitting they didn't send them.
It ain't over yet though. The mortgage is discharged in my CH7, and my atty must verify there's no sneaky language to reaffirm or create a new personal liability.
Also, they're stating they have the right to report the payments to credit bureaus and that they will continue to do so. I'm really not sure where this right comes from, in the absence of newly assigned personal liability.
I'll post more when I know more... just chronicling this saga in case it helps anyone in the future.
