Its been a year and half and I call every week or sometimes every other week, always get told the same bs and will be another 45-60 days. I called yesterday and I was told it has gone from underwriting to the investors for final approval, thats a first for all the bs I have been going through during this process. They told me it could take up to another 120 days from that point, I just sat there on the phone chuckling and said you've got to be kidding me. Anyway that is something new I've been told and was just wondering what should I expect next and who the hell are the investors? I'm just a little confused by that, maybe thats a dumb question but I'm asking it anyway....thanks

question about mod process

I had a bankruptcy discharge July 09 and then stopped paying in November, started a loan mod process with a company, the only plus I think is that it may have given me more time in this house..I don't even have a NOD yet..and plan on staying at least until that ...I have heard all kinds of things about being discharged and doing a loan mod..not sure what's true whether they want you to reaffirm or what...I wouldn't reaffirm...I like that you can walk and they can't come after you, and you can buy another home with FHA 3 years after discharge with a foreclosure discharged in the bk. So I'll rent in between. Good luck to you with whatever you decide!
