I've been unsuccessfully searching for this info, hopefully someone can help me out here. Still living in my house in WA state, sheriff's sale is set for Oct. 15th. We have a new rental to move into, but the date we can occupy keeps moving back and I'm getting nervous. Anyone know how much time we have in the house after the sheriff's sale?

Can't swear to this, but someone told me awhile back and I believe it was 20 days after the Sheriffs Sale to vacate. (in WA state) -
My sheriff sale got postponed not once, but 6 times. Not that this would happen, but food for thought. Depends on your lender. Have not paid in over 2 years and they still haven't taken it.
This is what I suggest from experience- Call the attorney's office handling the case 2 days after the sale. They will let you know if it was postponed or not.

I don't know anything about WA, but in Illinois - our sale date was Sept 16th -- it won't be confirmed until October 4th. Then we have 30 days to vacate.
