We discharged our 1st and 2nd mortgages in our Ch7 which discharged in May. I called the attorneys office and it is has a sale date of 9/16/10. What does that mean? Should we have received some type of notification?
We're not living there anymore the sooner, the better -- but I just want to make sure I'm not missing something.
Does that mean it goes on the market as a foreclosure that day or does it mean somehow there is an actual sale pending? or an auction? I'm so confused and the attorney's office wasn't too informative.
ETA -- Did more digging. Looks like it will go up auction that day. What happens if it doesn't sell? If it does sell, it looks like a deed in the buyers name will be issued a week later Cannot wait to have this all behind us
