Is three more months unusual for sale date?

I posted a little while ago that my sale date with recontrust is on their website for 12/29/10. So far all I have learned is that sale dates can be postponed, but is it common for the sale date to be bumped up to an earlier date?
I'm going to call recontrust in the morning to see if that's possible.Have a friend out of state wanting to come be my roommate and three more months of saving for rent will be great!

In my state, after the summary judgment, it is exactly 3 more months before sheriffs sale....so, no thats not unusual.

Thanks Ryan, I'm in California.Just got off the phone with recontrust and they confirmed the sale date of 12/29. What a relief! My friend that wanted to come from another state has decided not to because she thinks we could be 'locked out' of the house at anytime.
Even with this information it looks like she won't be coming after all.

Sorry to hear that Plantlvr. I have a sale date on recontrust too and for whatever reason, today I saw my sale date listed at a date two weeks after its original sale date! (Ok, filing BK may have had something to do with it?)

Either way, I, too, want to know if it is at all possible for recontrust to move the sale date back after moving it forward.

Anyone who might shed a light will give me a lot of peace of mind.

        Thanks and peace.
