    Sale Date on recontrust accurate?

Finally after two years, my house has a sale date, 12/29. What I'm wondering, is that a firm sale date? I need to plan on moving and if that date is firm, I still have more time.
Any input from folks that know about this would be much appreciated!

If this is a Notice of Trustee Sale from Recontrust, approximately 3/4's down the 1st page is an 800 Info Line number you can call. Unfortunately, if the T/S is going to be postponed, the automated info line will not update until just a few days before the sale date. You should expect that the T/S will happen as scheduled unless you file bk before the date (assuming you are not already in one and the stay has been lifted).

Oh wait, your sale is set for 12/29. I have seen many sales rolled a month around the holidays so there is a good possibility that yours will be rolled.

Thanks for the info, I am planning to call them first thing Monday. But what you mean by 'rolled', because of the Holidays? Don't understand... a RE Broker said his info was sale date in Oct.

"rolled" means postponed. Your post says sale date 12/29.

I had a lot of experience with recontrust as my former landlord got foreclosed on in April. Basically, what gets posted as the sale date (auction date, any other name) stands but can be postponed up to 1 hour before the sal/auction time at the discretion of the trustee (recontust) without any explanation or limitation. Meaning they can postpone the sale for no reason and for an unlimited number of times. Only way to be sure your sale happens when they say it will is to be at the auction, I did. Calling recontrust will not tell you more than their website, I tried multiple times.
          Stopped paying: 08/10, Filed CH7: 08/27/10 , 341 & No Asset Report: 10/6/10, Last day to object: 12/06/10, Discharged: 12/07/10, Closed: 12/08/10

Thanks everyone! I am glad the house is going up for sale so late as my friend is moving back to Cal and we are going to get a place together. She didn't want to come to this house and have to move in a couple of weeks.
I was worried that recontrust could 'bump up' the sale date, but late December gives her time to collect some paychecks while here [she has a job luckily]!
