I bk'd and discharged in Jan. Did not reaffirm home with Citimortgage and stopped payments, needed to find a bigger home due to child birth, plus home was just falling apart 5 years old and everything was breaking down so it just wasnt worth it, plus our entire neighborhood has gone down and in forclosure. ANYHOO, We moved 2 months ago and havent heard anything from Citimortgage, nothing.. second with Navy FEd has been calling to "find out our intentions" and insurance company is asking questions. Also today a lady said she was a VA appraisser and that she was hired by the VA to appraise the home.. I dont understand, she was acting like I was behind and on a timeline, I told her I would call her back. Whats up with that?? I thought I'd be done with this, I want them to forclose so I can get on with my life and recover from this BK but it seems as the mortgage companies just keep holding on, what do I do?

the VA and any government back loans have a process to follow prior to putting in a claim.

i have an FHA....my bank hasn't even put in a claim for the funds as yet and refuse to take the deed out of our names. i have filed complaints against them for abuse of government funds and fraud...since there is not a need to continue to rack up foreclosure fees when i have surrendered the home. they don't listen. so just sit back...if the amount of the mortgage was discharged then you are no longer financially responsible for anything to do with the surrendered home.
