    Dreadful Foreclosure!

I don't know where to post this. I know this is an excellent forum so I will try here. Here's what happened:

Eighteen months I applied for a loan modification. I was approved. The escrow figures were off and the bank was asked to change them before I signed. Well, instead they foreclosed and sold my home with no notice (other than the orig paperwork that got pinned to my door when the loan mod started). Unfortunately, they sold it to a third party.

As soon as I found out my home was sold I contacted a lawyer and a lawsuit was filed. All the time I kept saying to my attorney - what's to stop the new owner coming after me and he shrugged it off. Well, guess what! The new owner filed eviction papers and my attorney worked a deal so I am now paying rent to the new owner (of MY home) while the lawsuit goes forward. I HATE this and I really feel there is something my attorney should have done to stop this rent issue. It just doesn't seem right that the new owner can charge rent.

I don't know if my attorney was in the wrong - or what I should do now. Any suggestions, anyone? I am at my wits end.

To boot, I my job was just eliminated but I am looking for another.

Bank is Chase; state is Michigan.

Oh man, that is rough. Loan Mods are a bunch of bull if you ask me. Chase has no clue what they are doing (see my recent post) and the only way I got through to them is through my attornery to their attorney.

Good luck, wish I could be more help
