Recieved "Intent to Foreclose", please advise

    Hello,

I live in FL, filed a CH 7 in March, and it was discharged on 6/28. I included my mortgage in the BK, and made my last payment in Jan.

I was looking thru mail today, and found that Chase sent me a "Acceleration Warning - Notice of Intent to Foreclose" on 5/12.

I am freaking out because I didnt realize this notice had been sent to me so long ago.

Included with this notice was a cover page that stated I had options to save my home, such as Loan Modification, and that the more time it took me to contact them, the less chance I had to save my home.

What does this notice mean, is this notice the "notice" I would recieve shortly before an actual foreclosure happens?

Any insight to my timeline as it stands at this point would be helpful, thx in advance!

The only way to tell how close they are to suing you for foreclosure would be to call them and ask. Then you'd know for sure. My guess is Florida foreclosures are still taking 120 days or more to complete. There was a bill introduced by the Florida legislature ( House Bill 1523) to fast tract foreclosures to 90 days. I don't know if this passed. If they sue you, answer the complaint, that will delay things.

The Florida Bill in both the house and senate did not pass. So Florida is still a judicial state. Here are the links:
