I had a thought, I looked at my credit report before and after discharge, before it showed the amount of my mortgage a little higher than it was before by a couple of hundred dollars but i didn't pay much attention to that, mind you we are current and have never missed a payment. Then after the discharge it showed my mortgage amount at $0. I am current and pay every month but...There is no guarantee that my payment is going toward that balance since the amount now is o and not reporting to agencies. How are we protected and assured that our payments are going to the balance of that account and not some general fund?
