Anyone rented out home month-to-month while the foreclosure process wraps?

We haven't received our NOD, but it's been over a year and we've found a great rental and we are moving very soon.

I thought we would have received our NOD by now, but we haven't. I hate to see the home vacant and sitting here. Toyed around with maybe doing a cheaper month to month rental until we get the NOD?

Probably totally illegal, but thought I'd ask.

There are people in our area doing just what you are considering. IMO, I would be honest with the prospective tenant about its status so the NOD/summons does not come as a surprise. Most of the individuals doing this rent the property for below market rents on a month to month basis
