My Chapter 7 was discharged in 1/09 and included both my 1st and 2nd mtg. We moved out in 7/09 knowing that we were letting it go. The NOD was recorded in 1/10 and expiring 4/12/10. The trustee mentioned that the Notice of Sale probably won't go out until June. I'd really like to get this house off my back in terms of paying HOA dues, fire Ins. etc..... Can I call the trustee doing the foreclosure if I can't execute a DIL and just be done with it? Since the debt was discharged in Chapter 7 I really don't see any down sides. Comments???

BTW an attorney friend said a bank can wait up to a year to issue a NOS and then just has to re-notice with a NOD to extend it. So it really is becoming a joke out there.
