Question-letting house go

We are getting ready to file chapter 7 next week (we are in MN) meaning we sign all the papers with our lawyer. We have already had our truck repo'd and are planning on letting our house go to foreclosure. We owe 45000 on the main mortgage, and a second mortgage for 60000. We haven't made a house payment in about 3 mos.....we have gotten many letters, and phone calls......but nothing too threatning yet. Today I was outside with the dog, and a guy pulled up and walked up to me carrying a clipboard. Was from Wells Fargo, and he asked me what our home phone was, and where my husband works and then left. Anyone know what that may have been about?

Wells Fargo may be verifying that the house is still occupied and has not been abandoned.
