How do you cope, knowing that you could be "kicked out" in three months?

I have school aged kids and in a perfect world, would like to move during teh summer since our move will take us about 35 miles north and across State lines. We just recieved notification that our lender for our first filed to lift the relief of stay. I'm sweating it out. It is causing emmense amount of stress that I don't need. I'm looking at rentals and we're saving up (not as much because of medical bills taht we reaffirmed in order to keep those specialist doctors).

Any trick to "riding through it?"

I don't know if this will work, but after the lender is granted the Motion for Relief of Automatic Stay, call the lender's bankruptcy department and ask if you can apply for a loan modification. We have several properties and everything has been put on hold while the modifications are being considered. It can take months and months. It may involve sending in quite a bit of paperwork but if it allows you to stay until summer, it might be worth it to you.

I'm trying to remember when we got the notice of the relief of stay but it was at least Sept/Oct. They didn't serve our papers until Dec 19. That is the last thing that was done. We quit paying our mortgage in July and filed on July 11. I am watching it online - everything is recorded on the clerk of court's website. I actually looked at the foreclosure calendar and checked out a lot of my mortgage company's foreclosures so I could "guess" at the timeline. From the filing, the soonest any property went to auction was 5 months. Most were well over six. I doubt we will be moving before June. Hope that helps.
