Moving out during the foreclosure process -- what do I need to keep active?

I'm from Chicago. I assume i need to keep the electricity and heat on so the pipes don't freeze over, right? Any suggestions on the temperature I should keep the heat at? Do the utility companies have issues if I had full service at my rental property and the basic service there just to keep the house heated? Can I turn off the water?

Silly questions - I'm sure -but I'm hoping for some guidance.

In the long run, it would probably be cheaper to have the house winterized, and then have the water and gas & electric disconnected.
