FC hearing & redemption period in illinois question

or in any state for that matter. in illinois its 7 months if you are living in the property, 6 months if your are not, or 3 months after the judgement -whichever is LATER. question#1: how would they know if you are living in the property? question#2: do they visit and check if you are living in the property? question#3 Is there a CLEAR advantage to attend the FC Hearing if your intentions is simply to vacate the property anyway?

    thanks in advance,
    seth

If you do a search on the forum, you'll find multiple people who report that strangers in cars or walking by are taking photos of their houses. Banks hire these kinds of 'drive by' services to see if the property is being lived in or not.

question#2: do they visit and check if you are living in the property?
Typically not. It's usually a 'stealth' visit from the street.

question#3 Is there a CLEAR advantage to attend the FC Hearing if your intentions is simply to vacate the property anyway?
Not if you intend to turn the house over anyway.

However, I hope you are planning to stay in the home for as long as you can rent-free, saving up for when you do move out to rent.

Good, because 99.9% of us here are not attorneys. I'm also not sure how many of us are qualified either....LOL!
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

thx for the reply Irprn. Just got a call from Provest LLC( sneaky). at first they wont reply after i answered so i decided to call 'em and got everything straight from the horses mouth. they are a special process server and they want to serve me

I just want to get a more idea what to expect living rent free. And yes, my wife will stay(with her current job) until she finds a new job where i am right now.

      thanks again.
