Not personally familiar at all, but some harsh words about them come up in Google.

Yep - I'm quite active over there. It's a forum like this but focused on mortgages. Don't know what "but some harsh words about them come up in Google" means?!

The stuff on RipOff Report is not real flattering to the owner, lol. But like I said, I'm not personally familiar so will quietly back of this thread....

If I remember correctly, wasn't "loan safe" the old Countrywide Mortgage's escrow and appraisal arm ? I haven't a clue as to whether the website has any connection to them..Seems like every time I re-fied, something always came from "Loansafe"..

I think you are right..."loansafe" sounds familiar...BUT I can assure you that loansafe.org has nothing to do with them or any other mortgage company.

I post there occasionally. I agree, a few success stories in the forum, but mostly many frustrated homeowners . . .

It's an interesting forum. Very comprehensive but funny thing is that I post the SAME thing there that I do here about my loans and I get lots more answers, feedback and advice at BK Forum than loansafe.
Very fortunate in the grand scheme of things but have learned my lesson.

most of the posts i see there are from people who are SOL. the intentions are good, but i think they may be sponsered by a couple of law firms that do forensic loan doc exams, looking for ways to get people out of their loans, but that can cost big $$$. Like i said, a lot of sadness there.

I'm a member there and the site and information posted were a great resource and comfort when I was pursuing my loan mod. I know there are some hard feelings in the background, but can safely say that it's a great group of people and tons of great information if you are seeking a loan mod.

I did modify my mortgage (3.25% for 40 years....I think we'll walk anyways...) and there is no way I would have gotten where I did (and more than likely no way I would have been offered a mod at all) if it weren't for the information and answers I got at LoanSafe. Most people w/my investor aren't getting any mod at all, so I'm lucky to have gotten as far as I did, and I'm sure it's because I knew the right people to talk (beg) to.

A well-meaning organization that has had soome good results and some poor results.

Just like the rest of us.

They are a last-ditch, non-profit effort, for people who, probably, should have either began researching earlier, working with the lender earlier, or given up the fight.

I looked into them very closely, and decided to work directly with our lender instead. Should we not have success with BoA, I would consider loansafe as a last minute backup when no other course is open. Hopefully it will not come to that.

These guys claim they send gangs of thugs to mortgage investors homes to scare their families in order to get lower rates.

                              They should rot in prison.
