    HOA and Pro Taxes

We are walking from our home in the next month. When we leave and stop paying HOAs - will they come after us or just attach it to the house for the bank to pay/new owner to pay? Should we keep paying it?

Prop Taxes are due 12/10/09 and we will be gone by then. We had them impounded in the past, and there is not much in the escrow account at present, and a little over 2K in the "suspense" account from the payments we stupidly made in the beginning of our BK when we weren't sure what we were doing with the house. I know I don't get the 2K back, will they use it for Prop Taxes, or their fees? Or will I have the county coming after me for the prop taxes?

We are in Riverside County California.

The taxes should just attach to the house. No real worries there. Issue could be city/county code violations for upkeep however.

The hoa fees will attach to the house but the HOA can be relentless and go after you personally as well. Depends on how nasty the hoa is.
