Wachovia loan mod
As usual I get antsy and want to have everything ready beforehand.
Since my BK took 9 months it was really frustrating.
It seems as though wachovia is generally friendly from what I read here.
Having said that I was just closed on Oct 23rd, 09 and have had weekly conversations with Wachovia. I am now 5 months behind and here is what they have repeatedly told me:
1- I am still their BK dept and they are closing my case.
2- It then goes to the loss mitigation dept.
3- I spoke with the loss mitigation dept yesterday and they were very friendly telling me that they are working on HAMP and MAP. I have a $732,000balance which is over the $729,000 limit so I cannot do HAMP unless the threshholds are raised.
4-They gave me a ton of info on what I will need as far as documentation goes. I can post it if anyone really wants to know all they need and be prepared.
5- Have not heard a WORD from WF on my 2nd but I know I need to start with them soon.
6-They just told me to hang in there unitl it gets out of the BK dept. They SEEM to be very proactive on the modification process.Very fortunate in the grand scheme of things but have learned my lesson.

I was pre-qualified for HAMP verbally and made trial payments from Febrary thru June. After reading about how the bank strings people along and then denies them (BofA), i have decided to walk away from the home and wont be paying for July. As the home is underwater - i'll just live there for free (with HOA fees) and save up.. being that im in Florida i'll have 1-2 years
