Who do I send a settlement offer to?

I will be trying to get a settlement on my second mortgage (post Chapter 7).

Who do I send the offer to? The mortgage servicing company's foreclosure department, the bank on the foreclosure suit (the plaintiff), the law firm handling the foreclosure, or somewhere else?

Hi, I am post Chpt. 7 and I have both my mortgages with Wells Fargo and they were both discharged in the BK. I have only been paying my first for four months now. There should be a phone number on your last 2nd mortgage statement - it would be for their BK equity department I assume. Call them and they will tell you to fax your settlement letter to them. I did that with WF and they forwarded it to their settlement dept.

FOLLOW UP once you fax it every two weeks. I called these idiots at WF on Wednesday and they said their lawyers couldn't do anything with it since my BK wasn't closed. I said WHAT, it was discharged on June 30 and closed in early August. "Huh", says the guy on the other end, "oh yeah, you're right, I'll let the settlement dept know right away, thanks so much for callling".
